About Papershell
About Papershell
PaperShell is a composite material based on kraft paper bonded with natural resins, layered and pressed together, to form a solid and durable material. This material has a completely new impact on the environment as it sequesters more CO2 that it releases during its production process.
Each shell is a unique piece, making your Catifa Carta original and distinctive.

A CIRCULAR PROCESS
Catifa Carta's shell is made entirely of PaperShell, a groundbreaking material derived from paper. It retains carbon dioxide captured by trees, significantly reducing the chair’s environmental impact. At the end of its life, the material returns to the earth as biochar, locking in the CO2.
